“The Astros will be stopping in Corpus Christi for a luncheon at the Dell Diamond and a hospital visit, but they do not have a public appearance scheduled.”

I’m assuming you mean Whataburger field?

Indeedy! Thanks for the catch, it’s fixed…

WHAT HAPPEND TO LAREDO!!! LAST YEAR MIGUEL TEJADA WAS HERE AND SIGNED AUTOGRAPHS IT WAS AWESOME. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

High hopes abound with management apparently with Jason Castro…he’s not even on the major league club and yet he’s rolling out on the Caravan. Cool!

Alyson, do you know the dates of Fanfest yet? It almost always falls when I’ve got another event planned, but now that we have a 2 year old…hmmmm….might be time to schedule FanFest first! :)

FanFest will be the weekend of the exhibition games at Minute Maid Park, after Spring Training (April 2-3).

Funny you should mention that about Castro…Berkman’s very first caravan to Temple was the year after he was drafted…by the time he spent his first full season in the big leagues, he had been on at least four. He used to refer to himself as a “fifth-year senior.” So maybe that good karma will spill over to Castro!

SPILL, KARMA, SPILL!!!!!
And when you get a chance to comment on the Myers deal, directrix, please do. I think it gives us flexibility in about 4 or 5 directions, and equally as important, shows that uncle D’s not ready to stand pat and pray.

Disappointing only one Astros player-a reliever is signing autographs at Academy in Sugar Land a town with a population of 80,000 people!

Wondering if would ever be plans to make it up to the DFW area. There are lots of displaced fans living up here. It seems like the crowd is almost 50/50 when the ‘stros make it up here to play…or at least the Astros fans make up 50% of the noise

Cool, didn’t realize that about Berkman being on that many caravans before he was on the major club. Yes, bring on the karma!

Thanks for the info about FanFest, I had forgotten that it got moved up to April a few years back, I still had it in my mind being in February and being a conflict….hmmm….maybe this would be a great reason to fly down on a cheap flight on SW!
Your # 1 fan in LR.
Thanks again!

No College Station? There were two locations here last year so that’s a little odd. I guess I’m traveling.

I assume this is the full schedule, and not just the Texas schedule. The last few years they have stopped at Lake Charles and the Academy Sports in Baton Rouge, and even at LSU. The lines were always a mile long when I was there, so they couldn’t have canceled for lack of interest. No Louisiana stops this year? My daughters have met Ausmus, Bagwell, and Craig Reynolds (okay, I was more excited about Craig than they were, but still) in past years. I hate to tell them they’re not coming to town this year.
