"Here's the Pitch" can now be viewed online.
One of the best things about the internet is you no longer have to live in the city where your favorite Major League team plays in order to follow it on a close-up, day-to-day basis. Every news item can be found online, as can most radio and television broadcasts.
One of the drawbacks, of course, is television programming that is exclusively locally-based typically cannot be viewed by fans who live outside of the market. That was a bit of a sticking point when we introduced the Astros' new reality-based show, "Here's the Pitch!". The feedback was tremendous from the fans in Houston who could actually watch the show. But we also received a bit of grumbling from our out-of-market fans who couldn't tune in.
But now, you can. It took a while to get it going, but three of four prior episodes of "Here's the Pitch!", hosted by Jen Vogel, are now online and available for viewing at Astros.com.
To review, "Here's the Pitch!" gets up-close and personal with your favorite players, meet their families, visit their favorite Houston hang outs and get a look at their involvement in the community.
Click here to view the first three episodes. Enjoy!

It wasn't even just being out of market; I live IN Houston and get all my Astros games through FS-Houston, but it was never showed on DishNetwork for some reason. Now I can FINALLY watch it!

I wasn't one of the grumblers, but I'm definitely one of the "outsiders" so thanks.
